[]Class Schedule
IEP students attend classes 20 hours or more per week. Classes are every day, usually from morning through mid-afternoon.
Students at the intermediate level (level 3) and higher may also enroll in extra optional classes in the late afternoon.
Many IEP students follow a schedule similar to this one:
- Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Vocabulary: Monday through Friday, 10:00-12:00
- Speaking and Listening: Monday through Thursday, 1:00-3:30

Tuition Options
$2,100 per session (7 weeks)
Fall or Spring: IEP tuition (20 hours per week in class)
$2,625 per session (7 weeks)
Fall or Spring: Extra-Intensive IEP tuition (25 hours per week in class)
$3,150 per summer semester
Summer: Extra value for money in summer: Complete a** full semester **of study in just 8 weeks – 28 hours per week in class (extra-intensive), plus additional optional study hours.
$525 per optional (extra) class
Fall, Spring, and Summer: Students may choose to take extra 7-week classes in late afternoon (TOEFL, TOEIC, GRE, Pronunciation, Professional English, and more).
On-Campus Housing
$2,930 per semester (for a shared two-person room)
Other on-campus housing options are available. Students may live on or off campus.
On-Campus Meal Plan
$1,500 to $1,800 per semester (estimate; varies by plan)
A meal plan is required for students who live in a campus dormitory. A meal plan is optional for all other students.
UMBC Health Insurance
$290 per session / $600 per semester (estimate)
UMBC health insurance is required for ELI students with an F-1 visa.
New students should be prepared to pay in full for tuition and UMBC health insurance when they begin their studies. Full payment is due before classes begin.
